27 Giant sarcophagi (2m wide and 4m long) are located deep underground in tunnels under the pyramid of Djoser. The walls of granite sarcophagi are perfectly fitted and polished both outside and inside. They are made at the highest level, which cannot be repeated even in modern conditions.

Another question arises about the transportation of hundred-ton sarcophagi, because in the narrow passages of the pyramid could not fit enough slaves to drag them there.
