The film about Michael Jackson will be split into two parts, according to reports from THR and Deadline. Additional filming will take place in June over 22 days to add extra material for the second film.
The first part of "Michael" is reportedly set to conclude with Jackson's departure from The Jackson 5 and his gaining full creative control over his music with the album "Off The Wall."
Given the additional filming and the division of the film, it is expected that the release date will be pushed back, with the first part now likely to be released in 2026 instead of October 2025.
