One of the BIGGEST pieces of advice I can give to those starting out on their health and fitness journey is to ALLOW yourself to be a beginner
You truly do not have to have it all figured out right now, the more you expect to be an overnight success, the more you set yourself up for disappointment
Those people that you look up to in the gym or within the fitness community, all started somewhere on their journey My debut into the gym wasn’t a graceful one, I was an ego lifter, I had no understanding of form or technique and I didn’t seek guidance from a professional until I met my partner Chris!
Don’t be like I was 🫣 Seek guidance and support in the gym, you’ll fast track this process immensely
In the mean time, don’t be afraid to look a little foolish! I promise you, nobody is as fixated on you in the gym as you think they are
The gym community is mostly a very positive and uplifting place to be, I know all I’m thinking when I see a beginner in the gym is how proud I am of them for taking the first step into bettering themselves and their health
Practice, be patient and learn as you go
The only way you’ll become an expert is by embracing the discomfort of being a beginner
Leave your ego at the door and get stuck in 🙌🏽
