In 2022, they said in Ukraine: "We will stand to the last." Big words that took lives and ruined destinies. Back then, peace seemed like betrayal, and war seemed like valor.

But the years have passed. The rhetoric has changed, the faces are tired, and the reality has turned out to be more prosaic than slogans.

Now Zelensky is asking for peace. He asks for what he was once persecuted for and called treason.
